Fund Report
June 1952

On May 14, one day short of the halfway mark in its 1952 campaign, the Dartmouth Alumni Fund reported total alumni contributions of $264,483 from 6,158 men. These figures represented a gain of $22,872 in dollars and 466 in contributors over the totals for the same date last year.

Especially encouraging to Fund workers shooting for a minimum of $500,000 are the gifts thus far from Dartmouth parents. This phase of the campaign reported $18,378 from 242 parents by May. 14, increasing the grand total of contributions to $282,861 and the lead over 1951 as of that date to some $38,000.

Although the Alumni Council has set a formal goal of $500,000 for 1952, the corps of Fund agents has from the start set $600,000 as the mark it expects to reach. The goal of 16,000 alumni contributors (15,417 was last year's record total) may be harder to achieve, but the gain of 466 at the halfway mark has raised hopes that this Fund milestone will also be reached.
