The annual Wet Down ceremonies produced some accolades that are of interest to the readers of this department:

Item. The Barrett Cup was awarded to Alan A. Reich '52, who is already well known to faithful followers of this column as a halfback on the football team and a javelin thrower on the track team.

Item. The Dartmouth Cup was awarded to Kent Calhoun '52, captain of basketball, for "behavior both on and off the field that has reflected the greatest credit upon the College."

Item. The Robert E. Mulhern Trophy for the senior hockey player who has shown the greatest improvement during his varsity career was divided this year between goalie Richard H. McMahon '52 and forward Harry M. (Whitey) Dunlap '52. This is the first time that this award has been shared.

Item. The Manners Maketh Man award, annually granted to the football player who best demonstrates the qualities of true manners (i.e., dignity and sportsmanship), was given to reserve quarterback James G. Churchill '52, who is currently very much in the public eye as captain of baseball.

Item. The Norman Grant Clark Trophy in soccer was awarded by Coach Tommy Dent to John H. Fancher '52, who has been a pillar of the Dartmouth booters for the past three years.
