July 1952

THE Class of 1927 at its 25th Reunion last month presented its Class Gift to the College. The Class gave the full amount of its 1952 Alumni Fund objective of $14,090 in addition to pledging a permanent 1927 Memorial Fund of $100,000 or more. The gift was formally presented to President Dickey at the 1927 class tent on the Saturday evening of Commencement weekend before a large audience of class members and their families. Harry B. Cummings of Pittsburgh and Spencer S. Cook of Rochester, N. Y., served as co-chairmen of the 1927 campaign. Under their direction the Class plans to continue moderate Memorial Fund activity for the remainder of the year 1952.

During the 25 years from graduation through June 21, 1952, the Class of 1927 has given a total of 1237,498.50 to Dartmouth by means of the Alumni Fund and Class Memorial Fund.
