MYLES J. LANE '28, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, was elected president of the General Alumni Association of Dartmouth College at the annual meeting of the Association on June 14. The alumni gathering, following a buffet luncheon in the gym, was one of the highlights of the alumni reunion weekend.

Two vice presidents of the General Association for 1958-53 will be Windsor C. Brttchelder '19 of Darien, Conn., and" Donald C. McKinlay '37 of Denver. Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, was reelected secretary-treasurer.

Carleton Blunt '26 of Chicago will again serve as chairman of the Association's executive committee and hold ex-officio membership on the Alumni Council. Other executive committee members for the coming year are Preston W. Howard '03, Brockton, Mass.; Warde Wilkins '13, Boston; Karl W. Koeniger '17, South Orange, N. J.; Ernest H. Earley '18, New York City; George W. Rand '19, New Rochelle, N. Y.; and John H. Emerson '38, Hanover.

The June 14 meeting was presided over by Mansfield D. Sprague '33 of New Canaan, Conn., vice president of the Association this past year. A week earlier the Commencement meeting of the General Association was held, with Charles L. Hardy '27, president for 1951-52, as the presiding officer.
