A GROWING collection of Robert Frost manuscripts, volumes and letters is being acquired by Baker Library through the generosity of friends of the poet. From Mrs. Alice Cox, widow of the late Sidney H. Cox, Professor of English, and Robert Frost's close friend for many years, has come a gift which includes 57 letters from Frost to Professor Cox. Thirty-five booklets containing the original poems that the poet sends out at Christmas to his friends are included, as well as manuscript copies of seventeen poems and nine presentation copies of books of Frost's published poems. A presentation copy of Munson's biography of Frost completes Mrs. Cox's gift.
A second valuable addition to the Library was presented by Harold G. Rugg '06, Associate Librarian, through the Friends of the Library. He has given Baker his personal collection of Robert Frost letters and manuscripts, assembled during the past thirty years.
