Jenkins Memorial Fund

IN memory of her husband, the late Mabel C. Jenkins of Mt. Vernon, N. Y., has left Dartmouth College $25,000, which has been used to establish the Frederick Warren Jenkins '00 Memorial Fund in support of the College's Daniel Webster National Scholarships. Mrs. Jenkins died last February, her husband in 1940.

Mr. Jenkins, librarian of the Russell Sage Foundation, was responsible for assembling one of the nation's noted libraries on social work and sociology and for managing the Foundation's department of publications. For five years he was Reference Librarian at Dartmouth, and for six years he directed the library department of Charles Scribner's Sons. At various times he had been lecturer on library history and economics at Columbia and other library schools.
