Dartmouth's varsity squash team, under Coach Red Hoehn, has now wound up its dual match season and is preparing for the intercollegiate matches at Annapolis on March 4-6. The Indians have won only twice in eight contests, their most recent win coming over Wesleyan, 8-1. In the final contest this year Amherst downed Dartmouth, 6-3. Sophomore Butch Waid, playing number six, was the first Dartmouth man to gain victory against Amherst and was followed by Aaron Daniels and Dave Jenks. Tom Hamilton, currently flaying number one, Jed Isaacs at number two and Fred Darche, who ranks fifth, all went five games before bowing to their Amherst opponents. The '58 squashers, led by Captain Dan Pierson, have won a single contest (Andover) and lost to Harvard nd St. Paul's School. Pierson, playing number one, has been the top man for the Indian frosh team, winning all three of his matches.

Dartmouth, with only a mediocre varsity team and no single outstanding individual, has little chance in the forthcoming intercollegiates. However, the freshman team does have at least two or three top players and Coach Hoehn is optimistic about the 1955 season.
