Joseph S. Cunningham '38, shown here in the role of a distraught survivor of an atomic blast, has the leading part in the Civil Defense motion picture Warning Red, which had its premiere in Silver S pring, Md., in January and will be shown throughout the nation, in theaters and on TV.
Active for some time in amateur theatricals with the Sandy Spring Theater Group, Joe Cunningham in the film is a typical suburbanite, Martin Dale, who conducts a frantic search for his family in the fire and debris, revealing in the process what one should and should not do in an atomic enemy attack. His daughter Elizabeth, 13, and son Richard, 8, appear with him in WarningRed, which was filmed in Olney, Md.
In private life Cunningham lives in Spencerville, Md., and works in Washington as executive assistant of the Dairy Industries Supply Association.
