Sorry I cannot be with you tonight to state in person that Charlie Widmayer is the ideal mixture constant devotion visionary practicality hardheaded idealism and deep understanding of all our ineffable Dartmouth loyalties.

Member, Advisory Board o£ the ALUMNI MAGAZINE

WIRE FROM BOSTON, MASS

The class of 1930 has for 25 years basked in the accomplishments of Charlie Widmayer at Dartmouth. We are proud to have shared him with all alumni in his capacity as editor of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. No words could possibly do him justice, but for him and for Dartmouth we hope many, many more years together. Our fondest personal wishes to Charlie.

WIRE FROM PROVIDENCE, R. I.

Received of Charles Widmayer, 25 years of leadership in editing an ALUMNI MAGAZINE. Scores of marvelous issues, plus constant encouragement, advice and example which help his colleagues from coast to coast to do a better job in providing perspective for partisans. We've stolen so many ideas from him that no insurance company will issue a theft policy on such a terrible risk. He's lootable and laudable. A Wah Hoo Wah for Dartmouth for honoring Charlie.

Editor Brown Alumni Monthly Past President, American Alumni Council
