Awards for Graduate Study Aiding Fourteen

FOURTEEN young alumni of the College, twelve of them '57 men who received their degrees last June, are pursuing graduate study this year by means of prize fellowship and scholarship awards from the College.

Reynolds Scholars

Among the recipients are five '57 men and one 1952 graduate who have been awarded $2,000 James B. Reynolds Scholarships by Dartmouth College for foreign study. They are:

Lloyd L. Weinreb '57, Lawrence, N. Y., who is reading philosophy, politics and economics at Worcester College, Oxford, England.

Edward L. Terrace '57, Seattle, Wash., who is reading Oriental studies at Queen's College, Oxford.

Charles A. Meader '57, Brooklyn, N. Y., who is studying painting in Paris.

Warner R. Traynham '57, Baltimore, Md., who is studying Greek philosophy and early Christianity at Oxford.

Robert E. Smith '57, Scarsdale, N. Y., who is reading English literature at St. Catherine's Society, Oxford.

Robert S. Lord '52, Marblehead, Mass., graduate student in music at Yale, who is studying organ in Paris.

Dartmouth Fellowships

Seven '57 men and a 1955 graduate are recipients of endowed fellowships from the College. They are:

Majid Arbab '57, Isfahan, Iran, the Charles O. Miller Jr. Memorial Fellowship, for the study of atomic engineering at California Institute of Technology.

Harry D. Cowlbeck '57, Trenton, N. J., the Richard Crawford Campbell Jr. Fellowship, for the study of English literature at Princeton.

Clifton C. Olds '57, Excelsior, Minn., a Fred DeMerritte Barker Fellowship, for the study of art history at the University of Pennsylvania.

Michael Seitz '57, New York City, a Fred DeMerritte Barker Fellowship, for the study of Romance Languages at Harvard.

Alanson P. Stevens III '57, Wardsboro, N. Y., the James B. Richardson Fellowship, for the study of German language and literature at North Carolina or Michigan.

Jan J. Wlodarkiewicz '57, Jamaica, N. Y., a James K. Colby Memorial Fellowship, for the study of international relations at the School of Advanced International Studies, Washington, D. C.

Kwanha Yim '57, Taegu, Korea, a James K. Colby Memorial Fellowship, for the study of international law and diplomacy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

Alan G. R. Cooke '55, Sunapee, N. H., the George E. Chamberlin Fellowship, for the study of geography at McGill University.
