The biggest changes in the Hanover skyline are pictured on the opposite page. And in addition to varied projects undertaken by Buildings and Grounds over the summer, such as new parking lots and improved playing fields, there were two important building developments in the Town to catch the eye of the returning student. Out on Lyme Road, the steel skeleton was up for CREL, the Army's Cold Regions Engineering Laboratory; and at the corner of Main and Lebanon Streets stood the impressive new bank building, more than doubled in size, with a row of shops appended in back.
