ALTHOUGH the snow still lies deep on the Hanover plain at this mid-March writing, the ground underneath is softening and the impending mud season again heralds the end of winter sports and the start of the spring season. This week, however, both athletes and non-athletes

are intent on term examinations, so it is a good time to take a backward glance at the final performances of the Big Green winter squads and a look ahead at what the spring teams face.
