At a dinner meeting o£ the Dartmouth Alumni Council in Cleveland on January 27, the Council presented an Alumni Award to Henry M. Haserot '10 (left) in recognition of his distinguished career and devoted service to the College. On that occasion the Council's president C. F. McGoughran '20, made the award and read the following citation:
Pineapples, coffee, cherries, or corn, tomatoes and grapefruit, to name just a few, are ail products of the Haserot Company and its affiliates. It is here in Cleveland that you have enthusiastically labored since graduation from Dartmouth in 1910. The firm, established in 1883, sells coffee and canned goods throughout this country and the world. You have served as Treasurer and later President of the company. In 1960 you became Chairman of the Board, and your son, also a Dartmouth man, moved into the President's chair. The Haserot Company is a proud and pioneering Cleveland concern and much of the credit for this distinction is yours.
In Dartmouth affairs you have always been a devoted member of the Class of 1910. From 1911 to 1918 you held the secretaryship of the Dartmouth Club of Northern Ohio. You have served as President of the Cleveland Club, and from 1923 to 1929 you were a member of the Alumni Council.
For your devoted service to the College and for your outstanding success in the business world, we are honored to present you this Dartmouth Alumni Award.
