Thursday, October 25 was the Red Letter day this month as far as activities in this area were concerned. Director of Admissions Eddie Chamberlain '36 came to Denver that day and did a lot of work in a 14hour period. At 9:30 A.M. he met with the college counselors and boys' advisors from the major Denver and suburban high schools and a great deal of valuable information was exchanged during this encounter. The same process was repeated before another group of secondary school advisors in the afternoon. One of the existing problems in this Western clime is the lack of understanding on the part of some of the secondary school advisors as regards basic requirements for admission to Dartmouth and other Ivy League schools. There have been misconceptions in the past and it is always of great help to the local alumni to have support from the college for such liaison work with the high school advisors. We feel particularly fortunate in having had Eddie Chamberlain come to Denver for this important piece of work.

At noon that day several of the local alumni met with Mr. Chamberlain for lunch at the University Club. A close intense discussion on admission problems and enroll- ment questions ensued, and was felt to have been worthwhile by all concerned.

In the evening a "Stag Smoker" was held at the same location, and a good representation of Denver and Colorado alumni was observed. A film showing the highlights of last season's football games, and informal friendly conversations were enjoyed by all.
