THE election of six new members of the Dartmouth Alumni Council and reelection of six members now serving was announced last month by Sidney C. Hayward '26, secretary of the Council, to take effect on July 1, 1964. All were nominated by alumni clubs in their home regions and were declared elected for two-year terms following the closing of nominations on March 10.

Region I (New England States), District 2: John K. Benson '31 of Boston, reelected for a second term; District 3: Dr. Erwin C. Miller '20 of Worcester, Mass., reelected for a second term.

Region II (Middle Atlantic States), District 2: George M. Farrand '33 of New York, elected for a first term, succeeding Carl H. Funke '35; District 3: James D. Elleman '43 of Morristown, N. J., elected for a first term, succeeding William L. Hoffman '36; District 4: Victor C. Smith 'l7 of Philadelphia, reelected for a second term.

Region III (Central States), District 1: William F. Steck '31 of Cleveland, reelected for a second term; District, 3: Thomas G. Murdough '26 of Chicago, reelected for a second term.

Region IV (Middlewestern States), District 3: Wayne P. Eves '44 of Omaha, Neb., elected for a first term, succeeding Leo M. Ungar '20.

Region V (Southern States), District 1: Robert B. Jones Jr. '38 of Baltimore, Md., elected for a first term, succeeding N. Page Worthington '33.

Region VI (Southwestern States), District 1: Ernest D. Grinnell Jr. '42 of St. Louis, Mo., elected for a first term, succeeding Edwin J. Spiegel Jr. '42.

Region VII (Pacific States), District 1: Philip B. Swain '37 of Seattle, Wash., elected for a first term, succeeding Kenneth A. MacDonald '39; District 2: David P. Smith '35 of San Francisco, reelected for a second term.
