WITH THE BIG GREEN TEAMS
MAY 1964

WEEKS of practice in the Leverone Field House coupled with hustle and determination have paid big dividends for three Dartmouth spring teams. Like conquering heroes, the baseball team returned from spring vacation with a 5-2 record, while lacrosse stood 1-1 after two games with nationally-ranked opponents, and the tennis squad was 6-3. It was a fine start for all three teams.

This column is being written during the two-week period that comes between spring vacation and the middle of April, at which time, as Coach Tony Lupien points out, "the season starts all over again" with all the Green teams swinging into action. Here, therefore, is the picture as the spring season just gets underway.

The name of "Diver of the Year" Randy Stay in '64 (l) has been added to the listingof past award winners dating back to 1921 on a new plaque given by pool designerJackson Smith '36 (r). Coach Michael is behind plaque, another Smith design.
