Among the awards made at the annual class officers' meetings in Hanover last month, the 1963 John R. Mason Trophy went to John J. Feldman '54 as the best class agent of a class one to ten years out of college. His achievement in the 1963 campaign was cited by Alumni Fund Chairman Charles F. Moore Jr. '25 as follows:
Establishing new records has become a habit with you and the Class of 1954 during your past three years as Head Agent. Each successive campaign has produced new dollar and contributor records for your Class, and the $12,000 recorded in 1963 is almost double the amount raised during the first year of your tenure. Your efficient and thorough approach to building an effective Class Agent organization has been the envy of many classes and your closely contested competition with the Class of 1953 has spurred contemporary classes on to greater achievements. As you approach the landmark of a tenth reunion this spring, it will be a surpise if June 30 does not see the Class of 1954 once again battling for first place in the Group Seven Green Derby competition. For the effectiveness and enthusiasm of your leadership as Head Agent and for your many contributions toward the million dollar achievements of the past three years, the Dartmouth Alumni Fund Committee proudly presents to you, as outstanding Head Agent of a Class one to ten years out of College, the 1963 John R. Mason Trophy.
