The Dartmouth Club of the Pioneer Valley consisting of the combined clubs of Holyoke, Northampton, Amherst, and Greenfield held their annual spring meeting, Tueday evening, April 27 at the German Club in Northampton. The following were elected to office for the coming year: President, Andy Schmidt '36, first vice president, BobColyer '60, second vice president, DaveFitch '54, secretary-treasurer, Glen Fuller'19.
The speaker of the evening was ArtKiendl '44, headmaster of Mount Hermon Academy, who chose as his subject "The Future of Independent Education." He painted a new picture of the modern day student giving an extremely illuminating talk in which he championed the cause of the modern teen-ager.
Bill Keating, Vermont '26 sports editor of the Holyoke Transcript who has been the speaker at these events on several occasions, was the club's guest of honor.
