Robert H. Zeiser '49 was honored as Class Chairman of the Year at the annual luncheon of the Dartmouth class officers in Hanover on May 8. In conferring the award, J. Michael McGean '49, Associate Secretary of the College, read this citation:

For nearly 16 years you have been a guiding force behind the progress of the Class of 1949. You were president of your class while an undergraduate and from 1949 until 1958 you served as Class Secretary. In June of 1954 you were also elected Chairman of your class, a position you have held ever since.

You have always taken a deep interest in the activities of your class and during your term as chairman '49 has moved forward in many areas. Annual meetings of the executive committee have been held each fall in Hanover, a Gold Pick Axe Award for the 1949 Man of the Year has been established, a Memorial Book Program has been instituted, and in the 1964 Alumni Fund Campaign 1949 captured first place in its Green Derby.

Your interest in the College does not stop with your class. From 1962 until 1964 you served as President of the Dartmouth Alunmi Association of Rhode Island and in 1963 you were named Club President of the Year. You have also been involved in enrollment and admissions work.

You have that quality of leadership which others look up to and respect. In every activity you give the utmost of what seems to be limitless energy, devoting more of your time to Dartmouth affairs than can ever be counted.

For all that you have done for Dartmouth and your Class of 1949, it is an honor for us to recognize your leadership as Class Chairman of the Year.
