Martha Flag Emerson

Miss Martha Flagg Emerson, 87, who was Chief Cataloguer at Baker Library for 27 years, died in Ithaca, N. Y., on July 22. Miss Emerson, who retired in 1946, was the daughter of the late Dean Charles F. Emerson, Class of 1868, and the sister-in-law of the late Edmund E. Day '05, President of Cornell University. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Day and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in the Old Dartmouth Cemetery on August 6.
