The Dartmouth Undergraduate Council has announced that group flights to Europe can, for the first time, be offered to alumni and their families during the summer of 1967. This is the broadening of a plan which has been available to Dartmouth undergraduates for several years, subject to government approval which is expected momentarily.
The Dartmouth Travel Bureau has been designated as the agent for the official Dartmouth Summer Trips, according to the UGC, and they will coordinate travel for all participants.
Four trips are available, all leaving in June but extending over different periods of time. All flights are via BOAC Airlines and leave from New York City for London. The group flight leaving on June 13 will return on August 15. Flight number 2 leaves June 14 and returns on September 6. Flight number 3 departs on June 21 and returns on August 16. Flight number 4 offers a special four-week stay in Europe leaving New York June 22 and returning July 22. Again London will be the point of destination in June and the point of departure in July.
Round-trip fare per person will be $305. This rate is available to all alumni, their wives and dependent children. The alumnus, however, must be on the flight himself in order for the family to qualify. The rate for each flight is based on a minimum of 25 participants.
All inquiries regarding group flight arrangements should be made directly to the Dartmouth Travel Bureau (Box 870, Hanover). A deposit of $50 is required by April 15 and is refundable up to thirty days prior to departure of the flight. A full payment of $305 per person will be due May 15. All checks should be made payable to the Dartmouth Undergraduate Council.
