E.H. Kenerson '03 Named Top Bequest Chairman
JUNE 1966

Edward H. Kenerson '03 was saluted at the annual meeting of Dartmouth class officers in Hanover, May 13, as Bequest Chairman of the Year. The following citation accompanied the award, which was made in absentia:

I Edward Hibbard Kenerson of the Class of 1903, your long file of accomplishment and service is a matter of record. You have been honored throughout your life in business fields, and in the wider fields of community and civic service. For the past fifteen years you have been enjoying a richly deserved "retirement."

However, this day we honor you as a son of Dartmouth, a devoted custodian of Dartmouth traditions, and an outstanding example of the type of product which the College on the Hill seeks to fashion.

Since your graduation you have been a loyal and devoted alumnus of the College, and in the past you have served as President, Class Agent, and Secretary of your Class of 1903.

This year marks the end of a decade of service as the Bequest and Estate Planning Chairman for 1903. In this decade the program has produced over $18,500,000, and you have been one of the most dedicated members of the Bequest and Estate Planning Association. We also point with pride to the fact that your son, John, is following in his Dad's footsteps - being a vice chairman of the Program for his Class of 1928.

We recognize that you have already received Dartmouth's most highly coveted Alumni Award. Nevertheless, the Association of Bequest Chairmen in recognition of the culmination of ten years of work as an active chairman, and in honor of your lifetime efforts in behalf of Dartmouth, is proud to acclaim you as Bequest Chairman of the Year.
