As you read, the cross-country sea- son is barely begun and as we write, the Indians are in the final days of their pre-season training session at the Col- lege Grant in northern New Hampshire. The keys for Coach Ken Weinbel are junior Eric Potter, sophomore Tom Shiland, and a three-man unit of Captain Parke Rublee, Bob Varsha, and Steve Shirey that is expected to provide the Indians with improved depth and

scoring ability. “We have the potential to challenge for the lead and then apply pressure close behind,” said Weinbel, who will be aiming to duplicate last year’s 6-1 record.
