Harrisburg

U. S. Rep. Herman T. Schneebeli ’30 was the featured speaker and guest of honor at the annual meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Central Pennsylvania on May 8, in Harrisburg. We were delighted to have almost 50 alumni together with wives, students and successful applicants for admission with us.

Another key feature of our meeting was a most thoughtful and searching discussion led by Arthur Rubinoff of the Government Department at the College, together with a group of students. They outlined current thinking on the campus with regard to Southeast Asia and then exchanged views with alumni and particularly Congressman Schneebeli. We certainly appreciated having them with us.

Bob Staz ’57, our district enrollment chairman, reported on the results and all were pleased to hear that 40% of the young men applying from our area for admission to the College were accepted.
