The annual meeting of the Rochester Club was held on May 13. A large turnout enjoyed cocktails and dinner. Prof. George Kalbouss gave an excellent account of recent activities at Dartmouth. Centered in his remarks was the presentation of a tape recording of President Kemeny’s speech over WDCR made on May 4.
Eight undergraduates from the Rochester area accompanied Professor Kalbouss. Curt Welling ’71 and Steve Kepes ’72 made statements of prevailing student opinions on the major issues. The other undergraduates participated in the lively discussion period that followed.
President Burt Dorsett ’53 summarized the year’s highlights and passed the gavel to president-elect Frank Strong ’56. Other new officers are vice president, JohnSchlachtenhoufen ’61; secretary, BruceCampbell ’64; assistant secretary, DickPortland ’58 treasurer. Bob Brown ’60, assistant treasurer, Ray Gale ’54. Members of the executive committee are Curt Little ’64, Ken Kroups ’6l, Stafford Krause ’57, Chet Gale ’55, Mike Buckley ’65 and Bob Patterson ’64.
