Myles Lane '28, shown in his undergraduate days as a nationally famous halfback, has been elected to the National Football Hall of Fame. He is now a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, after a distinguished career as a trial lawyer and as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Myles holds the all-time Dartmouth records for the most points scored in a single season and during three years of varsity play. His three-year record is 48 touchdowns and 307 points. His single-season record of 18 touchdowns and 125 points (in 1927) was the best in the nation. Myles was head football coach at Boston University in 1931 and backfield coach at Harvard in 1933. He also played professional hockey with the Boston Bruins, 1929-1933, and was on the team that won the Stanley Cup in 1929.
