Graduate Study Grants Available to Alumni

Recent Dartmouth graduates are advised that they, as well as graduating seniors, are eligible for grants for graduate study awarded by the College each year. For information and application forms write: The Committee on Graduate Fellowships, P. O. Box 674, Hanover, N. H. 03755.

JAMES B. REYNOLDS SCHOLARSHIPS

Seven or eight scholarships are awarded annually for study abroad to outstanding Dartmouth seniors and graduates who are United States citizens, or who have made application for first citizenship papers in the United States. The scholarships may be used for study in any field in any foreign country, normally in affiliation with a recognized educational institution, and in any case in conformity with a definite program of study approved by the Faculty Committee on Graduate Fellowships. Applications for countries other than England are especially invited. The awards are for one year only for the sum of $2500. In cases involving extraordinarily high expenses a supplementary grant is sometimes recommended. Applications aredue by January 21, 1972.

DARTMOUTH GENERAL FELLOWSHIPS

Dartmouth General Fellowships, unlike the Reynolds Scholarships, are awarded with consideration of the financial need of the applicant as well as of his academic merit Priority will be given to applicants entering fields of study where the opportunities for financial aid are few, or where probable earnings are apt to be moderate. The awards are for one year only, and are usually held in graduate schools in the United States. In some cases they may be held abroad. The am granted normally does not exceed a maximum of $1500. Applications are due by February11, 1972.
