At the Boston Alumni Association dinner on March 23 Norman E. McCulloch, Head Agent for the Class of 1950, was awarded the Harvey P. Hood Trophy for the outstanding Head Agent of class 11 to 25 years out of college. Accompanying the award was the following citation:

During the five years of Sandy McCulloch's leadership as Head Class Agent, the Class of 1950 exceeded its dollar goals each year, increased its level of giving each year up to a $39,000 performance in the 1970 Campaign and raised a total of more than $165,000 for the Fund in those five years. As a leader of the dynamic group of classes of the '50's, 1950 has truly shown the way to its younger compatriots over the years. Sandy has stressed the importance of leadership giving in his class and has developed a loyal group of men who annually provide the top level of gifts so necessary to a successful dollar achievement. As a result, 1950 has consistently placed high in Green Derby standings. For these outstanding accomplishments, the Alumni Fund Committee proudly presents the Harvey P. Hood Trophy to Norman E. McCulloch as the outstanding Head Agent of a Class from eleven to twenty-five years out of College.
