In the effort to get alumni of the younger classes out for Club affairs, the Eastern New York club teamed up with the local Wellesley alumni club to hold a "rap" session on February 26 at the home of Dr.Lyon Greenberg '54, Club President. The program featured three Dartmouth undergraduates and three coeds from Wellesley who led the discussion on a good number of issues which are currently receiving attention on campus. It was not surprising that the alumni wanted to talk most about coeducation. Although no vote was taken, it appeared that most the Dartmouth and Wellesley alumni were against while the students were for.

About 75 persons attended the rap session. Some were the club regulars while others hadn't been seen before. A partial attendance list would include Judge Milton Alpert '32, Dr. Milton Aronowitz '13, Larry Barnet '68, Lawson Batty Jr. '50, Henry Brezinski '47, Larry Goltz '63, Ed Jennings '57, Mike Juha Jr. '66, Tom Littlefield '41, Dr. Seward MacDonald '43, Jim Magnuson '56, Dr. James Pert '46, Ed Pitkin '31, Seth Towse '57, and Steve Wilson '55. This event gathered a lot of good press coverage with half a page of the March 3 Sunday "Times Union" feature section being devoted to it.

The March luncheon held as usual at L'Auberge restaurant under the chairmanship of John Brandow '57 was pleased to welcome Bill Bennet Jr. '32 and ArnieHatch Jr. '36 to the band of a dozen regulars. Once again coeducation was the main topic of discussion as Lyon Greenberg '54 described his visit with Charles J.Zimmerman '23, chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Milt Alpert '32 went over the main points of his brief on the subject. The assemblage was also pleased to learn of the re-election of Art Leonard Jr. '34 to the Alumni Council.
