Francis R. Drury Jr. '48 of Lima, Peru, an oil company executive, is the new president of the General Association of Alumni of Dartmouth College. His election was announced at the association's annual Commencement luncheon in Hanover on June 10.
A Rhodes Scholar, Mr. Drury earned a master of commercial science degree at the Tuck School in 1950 before going to Oxford, which conferred the M.A. on him in 1952. He joined the Gulf Oil Co. on his return from England and has been with the company ever since, on assignments in London and Tokyo and in this country. He was appointed coordinator of bulk sales for Latin America in 1969, with headquarters in Brazil until last fall when he was transferred to Lima.
Mr. Drury is the son of Francis R. Drury '26 and the brother of Andrew M. '5l and Herbert '52.
The three new vice presidents of the association are Dr. Frank P. Foster '29 of Hanover; Francis A. Harrington '33 of Worcester, Mass.; and John L. Huber '63 of Atlanta, Ga. J. Michael McGean '49, Secretary of the College, was reelected secretary-treasurer.
Frank J. Yeager '60 of Wichita Falls, Texas was reelected chairman of the executive committee. Other members are Warren Currier '08, La Jolla, Calif.; T.
