Don Williamson came through with virtually all of the class news this month. In his letter he described the move that he and Marion made last year to a new home in Skokie, Ill., which is next to a country club where he can golf in the summer and curl in the winter. This past winter Don and Marion traveled to South America where Don had a most pleasant talk with BobHill in Argentina shortly after he arrived as Ambassador. These moves probably are in direct response to the freedom that has accompanied the maturation of their children. Their son Richard who attended Princeton and Virginia Law School, now is working for Congressman Crane in Washington as a legislative aide. Their youngest son Bruce graduated from Dartmouth this June and has been elected president of his class. Graduate provided an opportunity to renew a number of old '42 acquaintances and to meet a new crop of Dartmouth graduated sons. Huntly and Virginia Allison and son Steve entertained at their new vacation home in Quechee. Present were Dick and Jane Clarke and son Rick, Jake and Anne Davis and son Buff, and Don and Dotty Gates with son Chris who was just elected head class agent. Also present were Bob and Mary Kirk and Ad and Kiki Winship who entertained in their usual gracious style for the '42 contingent and other friends.
The only other news item at the moment is that Don Kerr attended the inauguration of Thomas H. Bonner as president of Union College and Chancellor of Union University on October 5 in Schenectady, N.Y.
Try to return to Hanover this year for a visit if at all possible. You will always find a few friends on the local scene and you will have an opportunity to rediscover the excitement of campus life at Dartmouth.
