Club Officers of the Year

David L. Duclos '59 and Donald W. Solis'28 were honored as Dartmouth Club President and Secretary of the Year, respectively, at the Club Officers Banquet on November 8 in Hanover.

"There is no dispute anywhere about the quality of your work as President of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of the Northwest. You have provided leadership for a large, active executive committee which is responsible for a year-round calendar of activities," read Dave's citation. "The Northeast Association provides strong support for enrollment and interviewing activities, not to mention a program which can now boast seven club scholarships."

"Making sure that things are done just right has been your trademark and it's an important reason why 1973-74 has been a banner year for the Northwest Association of Minnesota. Therefore, in recognition of your outstanding leadership, it is a privilege to name you the Club President of the Year," concluded Dave's citation. MikeMcGean '49, College Secretary, and DaveOrr '57, Secretary of the Club Officers Association, made the presentation.

Don's citation read in part: "You are honored tonight ... for your ability to unite Dartmouth alumni into a strong organization which the Dartmouth Club of Sarasota, Fla. has become. For all you have done for the Sarasota Club and ultimately your College, it is a distinct pleasure to name you as the Club Secretary of the Year."
