Len Morrissey '22 received the Alumni Award from Wilbur Bullen, his classmate and chairman of the Awards Committee, at the annual dinner of the Dartmouth Club of the Hanover Area in April.
Following a not-always flattering preamble which chronicles some of Len's DCAC connections, his citation outlined his career with New England Telephone and Telegraph.
His service to the College was detailed thus: "For over 50 years you have been a Dartmouth Year 'Round Operator - until 1964 the capable '22 class whip in Boston and, since then, the Class Man in Hanover. Before you became Secretary in 1956 you were a class agent. You are one of the very few men who have contributed to the Alumni Fund in every year but one since graduation.
"As Secretary you reported everything you knew including some things hopefully true. For general reportorial excellence, for special features based on independent research, and for a perfect record of on-time copy submission, you received the Secretary of the Year Award in 1970. You were 35th Reunion chairman, president of the Dartmouth Club of Hanover, and a member of the local executive committee of the Third Century Fund."
