Award for the Awarder

Bill Bullen '22 who has been for some time on the giving end in Alumni Award ceremonies received "The first and last Annual Awarders Award" at Class Officers Weekend last month.

"In a position which is subject to pressures from well-meaning and enthusiastic proponents of certain candidates for the highest honor the Council can bestow," his citation says, "you have been persistent in your effort to apply the test of service to the College in the selection of those to whom this honor shall be awarded. You have been judicious, prudent, and discreet in the exercise of balanced consideration and thus you have maintained the respectability of this program which easily might have been politicized."
