Since we have very little grist for our mill, we will grind exceeding small this month. POULTRY PARADIGM: Scott L. Probasco was elected a director of Holly Farms last summer. No doubt Scotty and Spark (100 Scenic Highway, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350) will be doing a lot more shakeand-bake chicken dinners. Scott continues with American National Bank and Trust in Chattanooga, as far as we know.
NUPTIAL NOTE: On July 23 Ellen Jebb Remsen '80 married John L. Waxlax in Greenwich, Conn. Ellen has master's degrees from Harvard and B.U. and is teaching in Cambridge. Her father, of course, is Ted Remsen (Baldwin Road, Mt. Kisco, NY 10549), who retired as a partner of Fowler & Rosenau. You should nave time to get back to Hanover for a mini, Ted.
OP-ED COMMENT: Space won't allow transcription of much of his comments, but George Woodwell had the lead spot on The New York Times op-ed page August 13. "Pollution, Erosion, Waste, Toxins" was the title and George observed that "control of these problems has not emerged from the free market. Solution of these problems scream for revisions of national and international policies in the management of resources. Time is short and the costs of failure high."
Sadly we must report that John MacDonald.passed away last July 6. Sympathy to Maggie and their children.
