In the late sixties seven undergraduates performed as the Dixieland-style Dartmouth Five (sic). The '70s were Scott Anthony, banjo; Jeff Dow, drums; Doug Morton, bass; Steve Nelmes, trumpet; and Steve Straus, clarinet—with Bruce Westcott '72 on piano and Chris Cain '72 on trombone. The group still gets together—with Frank Batchelor '71 now on trombone —and last fall you could have heard their "Alabammy Bound" in North Carolina, at the lunch before the Davidson game. Now you can hear it- and two dozen others from "South Rampart Street Parade" to "Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans" —on their 20th anniversary tape.
