Not frequently are Dartmouth graduates found seated on the 50-yard-line on the Harvard side of the Stadium. Don Norstrand and John Wheatley '24 were there—guests of fellow North Hill resident Joe Crosby, former Crimson football player. Result? Harvard 6, Dartmouth 5.

During the past six years George Scott has been awarded citations for outstanding Alumni Fund service, this year's being presented by Al Collins '53, son of our CharlieCollins. Under George's leadership, 1926 has won numerous Green Derbies.

For many years Tubba Weymouth has very successfully encouraged memorial gifts to Dartmouth through the Alumni Fund by widows, sons, daughters, and even a few grandchildren in honor of 1926 classmates now with us only in spirit. Due to increasing difficulty with eyesight he invited his Norwich, Vt., neighbor Ed Emerson to join him as coordinator, and Ed has enthusiastically done so.

At the department of population dynamics, Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Baltimore, Paul Harper taught until he was 78, then finally retired, but he continues his education. Planning to be in Sanibel this winter, he asked for Jack Robert's address which, also, others may wish, namely: 2616 King's Crown, Shell Point Village, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.

Larry Vermillion, Charlottesville, Va., at age 86 renewed his driving permit for four more years, so he and Eleanor can enjoy much more sightseeing in their beautiful section of Virginia. He said his daughter's family summer place and all neighboring homes on Isle of Palms south of Charleston, S.C., were so badly damaged they must be torn down because of Hurricane Hugo, which rivaled the California earthquake in damages and displaced persons.

Four notable events were recorded in 1989 for Dick Husband: on June 19 he celebrated the 60th anniversary of receiving his Ph.D. degree at Stanford; August 8 he became 85 —an age divisible by five makes it special; September 9 he became a greatgrandfather—suddenly he felt older; September 15 Dorothy and he celebrated their 54th anniversary—out for dinner!
