During Club Officers Weekend last November—attended by 130 officers from more than 75 clubs—the following individuals and clubs were singled out for special awards.
Herbert F. "Barry" Grove '73 was cited as Club President of the Year for his leadership of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of New York, where he was instrumental in increasing attendance and membership, and in strengthening applicant interviewing.
Jonathan F. Sadick '82 was named Club Secretary of the Year, recognizing the distinction with which he has for six years conducted communications for the Dartmouth Club of Central Massachusetts. The Dartmouth Alumni Association of New York was honored as Large Club of the Year for its variety of well-attended events, including "Dartmouth in the World" at the United Nations, for increasing its membership, and for an expanded applicant-interviewing program.
The Dartmouth Club of Georgia was named Medium-Size Club of the Year for its wide-ranging program of events, for strong interviewing and job development support, and for scholarship aid.
The Dartmouth Club of Central Florida was chosen Small Club of the Year for its excellence in activities planning, scholarship funding, enrollment, and career advising.
Honorable mentions for excellence and improvement went to the clubs of Sarasota, lowa, Central Massachusetts, Central Virginia, and Suburban New Jersey.
