He was a record-setting receiver at Dartmouth and a professional punt returner in Baltimore, but for most of his life Dave Shula has been known as Don Shula's son, offspring of one of the winningest coaches in NFL history. Dave is finally stepping out from that shadow into his own limelight. He assisted his father in Miami and worked for the Dallas Cowboys. Then last fall the Cincinnati Bengals made him one of the youngest NFL head coaches in history. A recent major profile in Sports Illustrated predicted that his name will be around for a long time to come.
