As I write this just after the holiday season, it is not surprising that much of the news I report this month has to do with upcoming nuptials and kids and all of that fan stuff.

Whitney Allen called me to let me know that, while in Spain, she was proposed to by Chris Bingham and said yes. They will be wed on July 29...unfortunately for me, on the same day as Brett Kelleran, who will be marrying a woman he met at UCLA business school. Whitney also told me that Annie Pieper is due to get married this summer, I'll have to rely on Annie for more information in the future.

I was home in New Hampshire for Christmas, and got to New York one day to have dinner with Tom Brodie, John Davi and their wives. The reason for the occasion? Well, the guest of honor was BenCrawford, who joined us along with his new fiancee. Wedding date has not yet been set.

I also have plenty of members of the Dartmouth class of 2022 to announce. JohnMcWilliams was pleased to report the arrival of twin girls Reilly and Chevalier to his household on July 20, and says both are doing well along with wife Deborah—whom people might remember as Deb Spaeder, a Mount Holyoke '92 who spent her junior year at Dartmouth.

Wendy Crumbine Ferdinand and her husband, Jed, welcomed their first child, a girl named Olivia, into the world on September 28, and unlike the McWilliams they have left N.Y.C. and now live in Weston, Conn. Finally, Greg Rush and his wife, Kathleen (Purcell '93), just had their third child. (OK, now I'm feeling pressure.) Caroline Kerin Rush was born on November 14 to help Mom fend off the boys (Greg, of course, along with 3-year-old Mack and 2-year-old Ben).

I saw two other classmates during my time at home. Michael Lombard is riding the pine for the Dartmouth basketball program—although he is a coach, so I guess that's about all he can do. And I also had breakfast one morning with Amy Kaplan, who was just days shy of making her next trip to Uganda as part of her studies at the University of Florida.

I will end this set of notes with two particularly wild stories that involve our classmates—for completely different reasons. On the one hand, you have Kristel Dorion, who in November became the latest '92 to participate in the famously extreme Eco-Challenge race (I believe Evans McMillion was the first, a few years back). The EcoChallenge was held this year in Patagonia, Argentina. On the other hand, you have the aforementioned John Davi, who suddenly is someone you don't want to mess with. Why? His mother landed a gig with the wildly popular World Wrestling Federation, playing die mother of then-heavyweight champion "The Big Show." I know, you're all shocked...you thought the WWF was real, didn't you? My bubble was burst, too.

Plenty of news still to come, but you'll just have to wait a month or so. In the meantime, have a great spring!
