Ever feel like you're stuck in a rut at your job? Do you want a little more thai pushing paper from a desk? Kate Aiken Moody has the remedy for those office blues. Kate is the Vp for human resources at Oxygen Media, a cable/Internet company for women. Pretty norma and uneventful, right? Well, her existence is enhanced by the fact that she is also Katie Fine, the main character of Oxygens online soap opera Deep Creek. You can follow all the scandal and betrayal of Deep Creek (a creek, I'm assuming, that is different than Dawson's) at www.oxygen.com/ deepcreek/. Before you jump online to check it out, she would like to remind all that she is the model for Katie Fine's character in appearance only, and she does not necessarily endorse all of Katies actions. But an acting gig is an acting gig.
Wanted to mention the splendid wedding I attended in June, as Ben Crawford tied the knot with Stephanie Luongo, whom he met while attending grad school at Texas. It was a gorgeous setting, as they exchanged vows among the sounds of crashing waves in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Needless to say, there were numerous '92s in the house, so a good time was had by all. Ben reported seeing Peter Vosshall at a different wedding. Peter is living in Seattle, working at Amazon.com and, as Ben said, "singing a mean bass like he did a decade ago."
In August, I attended the wedding of a pair of friends I worked with at Dartmouth—and wouldn't you know it, the grooms sister was Naomi Aoki (I did know it, actually). We had a great time golfing together Friday before the ceremony, and she proved Saturday night that she hasn't lost a step on the dance floor. Naomi is still a stud reporter for The Boston Globe.
Heard from Steve Schlemmer recently. He got married last year and has been in London working with CSFB. Steve reported seeing Chris Homer before Chris moved to Denver with his wife, and he also sees Rob Noworyta every now and then. Krysia Carmel Nelson had nothing new to report from Charlottesville—she keeps busy with her law practice and duties as a "special" judge hearing cases for the state department of education and Virginia Supreme Court. Oh yeah, and her 1-year-old child tends to keep her busy, as well.
