Chris Belanger writes that after six years off to ponder his future, he is once again studying for the priesthood. He entered seminary less than a month after graduation and is back, as a Roman Catholic seminarian for the Dominican Order, studying in Washington, D.C. After ordination to the priesthood in 2005, he plans to study for a doctorate in church history. Along the way, Chris, or" Brother Francis as he is known, managed a spin on the TV show Jeopardy.
Meredeth McCredie Winter writes from Arlington, Virginia, where she's been living since her husband was recalled to active duty with the Navy after September 11. He's been doing intelligence work in the D.C. area while she's been working part-time at the Nature Conservancy since her son, Will, was born in March of 2002. She reports that Ariel Tabor MacTavish moved from southern Florida to New Jersey and welcomed Siena Noel MacTavish on October 18,2002. Ariel works for Cordis, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. Sue Shons Luria is living in Cleveland and, according to Meredeth, had two daughters within 13 months! Margot was born March 5,2002, and Elena Rose made her entrance on February 6, 2003. Sue continues to do consulting work and trains for marathons in her "free time." Wow, is all I can say. And Lindsey Brace Martinez is a busy working mom, living in Dedham, Massachusetts, with her husband and almost 2-year-old son, McQuillen.
Liz Tauck Walters writes from the Pacific Northwest that she and husband Fred Walters have grown to love the Seattle area, rain and all. Fred completed his pediatric residency at Seattle Children's Hospital last year and has joined a practice on Bainbridge Island. Liz provides management and consulting services to charitable foundations. On January 3 they welcomed their first child, Claire Chamberlain Walters. According to Liz, she likes to hang out with her friend, Bobby Eleveld, son of Julita and Rob Eleveld,who live right down the road.
Fiona Bayly dropped a line from New York, where she is now in the exhibit and graphic arts department at the Wildlife Conservation Society at the Bronx Zoo.
Rani Sellers writes from Chicago that she is a toxicologist pathologist at Pharmacia/Pfizer. She and her husband recently had dinner with Kathy Lauten, her husband and their two children, who live south of Chicago.
Jeanne Shea e-mailed from Vermont that she and Tim Tremblay celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in early June. (Many Dartmouth friends remember their wedding, which took place at Aquinas House shortly before graduation) They were visited for New Years Eve by Sue McCormack and her husband, Patrick Hardy. They skipped the First Night festivities and played the Dartmouth board game for the first time since receiving it from Tims parents for graduation!
Anne Boardman says she loves her job as a pediatric nurse practitioner in North Carolina. She took a few months to study Spanish in Guatemala and now works at a small pediatric clinic in an under served area of the state, working mainly with Latino families and their children. She is also engaged to be married in September to Dr. Steve Pohnert, a triathlete and a post-doc researcher at Duke in biochemistry/cardiology.

And finally, John Drescher our head class agent (the $$ man), sends along a gentle reminder for all of us to think about making a special financial gift to the College for our 15th reunion next year, so we can leave the College with a nice checkon our departure. And look for '89 class receptions in the coming months in major U.S. cities.
