There are now three members of' 29 living and two adoptees. Art Nighswander and Harold Ripley, are both in the Hanover area; Walter McCray left Dartmouth during his freshman year and is living in Raymore, Missouri. Former dean of Dartmouth Lee Pelton, now president of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and your scribe are the adopted members.

Winter came early to Hanover, with the first snow before Thanksgiving and many oldfashioned snowstorms after that.
A friendly, complimentary note reached us from John Fyler, son of Harriet and Earl Fyler, and it made me remember having dinner with them in Boston years ago. They were going on a cruise, and while walking in the Public Garden, Harriet, an avid birder, was watching them rather than her steps. She fell and broke her arm, but the good sports they were, it did not keep them from cruising—cast and all!
We are sad to report the loss of Bill Sykes, who died in Duxbury, Massachusetts, last July. Our sympathy is extended to his family.
