Several previously quiet '86s have "outed" themselves, and thereby enrich us all.

Gina Cannon lives in Concord, New Hampshire, with her husband and daughter Sarah, age 2. She practiced law in Concord and Manchester for 12 years before leaving to stay at home for Sarah. Her start-up offers private guardianship services for incapacitated adults. Her firm offers the same thing as the N.H. Office of Public Guardian with more personalized service. Gina specializes in covering young people with traumatic brain injuries or mental health issues

Dina Brown writes: "I currently live in Walpole, Massachusetts, with my husband John, (yes, the Norwich cadet I was dating freshman year, a.k.a. HTH) and we just celebrated 25 incredible years together. Daughters Meaghan, 14, and Nicole, 12, keep us very busy. Meaghan has been Irish dancing for manyyears and has qualified for and competed in the World Championships of Irish dance. I get more nervous for my child competing than I ever did for any of my own sports. In March her team placed second out of 62 teams in the world. We spent that weekend in London with Ric Lewis '84, who treated us like royalty in Buckingham Palace."

In July Wade Manaker married Diana Caceres in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Among the invitees were Dean Waller and Gonzalo Escajadillo '85. Wade and Diana are expecting their first baby in May. They met while Wade was working for the U.S. State Department in the U.S. embassy's health unit. Currently he works at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston as assistant professor in the emergency department.

Bennett "Yong" Cho writes: "Ended up in Boulder, Colorado, after finishing graduate school and working on the East Coast. Blessed with two boys, twins 3.5 years old who are the absolute joy and inspiration of my life. Doing 'good' through architecture/urban planning and started my own shop (www.studiocompletiva.com) with mission to design better affordable and homeless housing among other things. Involved in volunteer work with children and underprivileged youths. Always wanted to know if any of my classmates went into architecture or other design/art fields. Would love to hear from them."

Finally, Mark Proctor lives in Newton, Massachusetts, and has been on staff as a pediatric neurosurgeon at Children's Hospital Boston for 10 years, literally saving lives. He married Charlotte Mckee, a Harvard '86 and Columbia Med School classmate. Their boys are now 12 and 10. Mark reports, "By and large staying out of trouble. Playing a lot of squash, especially with one of my partners, Ed Smith '92.1 win most of the time, which angers Ed to no end. Looking forward to a good winter of skiing in New England."

More news about you, your world and how you make it better is always welcome. I remain your curious-yet-fun John Ashcroft.
