"I'll stop playing at my funeral," legendary poker player David "Chip" Reese '73 once said. "And only God knows what I'll do after that. Sadly, "the Jack Nicklaus" of poker, as some called Reese, died at age 56 in December. As a first-grader Reese learned all sorts of card and board games from his mother when he was forced to stay home with rheumatic fever. "I'm really a product of that year," he admitted.
