New lighting at Memorial Field brightened an otherwise dismal evening when UPenn defeated the Big Green, 22-20, on October 1. More than 8,000 fans turned out in raw and rainy conditions for the historic game—the College’s first under lights—but hopes for a Big Green victory were dimmed by a Quaker touchdown with 17 seconds remaining.
