At the time of their graduation, Judge Cross gave the following message to his classmates of the class of 1911: "The message of Dartmouth to her sons is that of the Coronation Song to England's King George; 'Be strong and play the man; Keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in His ways.' "
Every member of the class of 1911 has been sent a copy of this message by Mr. Henry H. Hilton, trustee of the College. As Judge Cross has been receiving letters from men who apparently thought that he had sent them the message, he wishes this impression corrected.
