CLASS OF 1897

Dr. Harry Raymond Bennett died of pneumonia in the Bridgeport (Conn.) Hospital, March 22. He was born in Bridgeport, April 5, 1873, being the son of Caleb Harry and Mary Lee (Hoxsie) Bennett. After graduating from the city high school he studied medicine in New York and at Dartmouth, and after a term of service at St. John's Hospital, Yonkers, N. Y., he returned to Bridgeport for practice. For the last five years he had been on the staff of the Emergency Hospital, and was for two terms an alderman of the city. He was a member of the First Baptist church, and of the Masons and Odd Fellows. Dr. Bennett was married, December 18, 1906, to Donna Teressa, daughter of Dr. Alexander B. and Ella M. Briggs of Ashaway, R. I who survives him, with one daughter.
