LECTURE BY DR. APPELMANN

Dr. Anton Appelman, German government lecturer, and at present acting professor of German at the University of Vermont, spoke in Dartmouth Hall on May 2 on "1913—Das Deutsche Jubeljahr". The lecture, which dealt with the general literary awakening in Germany in the early nineteenth century, centered about the names of four men all of whom were born in 1813—Friedrich Weber, Otto Ludwig, Friedrich Hebbel, and Richard Wagner.
