President Nichols' recent visit to some of the alumni associations was marked by a noticeable increase of attendance and interest. The meeting in Manchester was fifty per cent, larger than any ever before held, and had the unusual distinction of entertaining as speakers the oldest alumnus of the College in the person of Judge Cross '41, and also the youngest alumnus, Harold C. McAllister '13, Graduate Manager of Athletics.
Philadelphia had the biggest and best meeting in its history and for the first time entertained the President of the College.
For the second time, the Boston Association had an attendance of over 500, and Springfield and Chicago report a larger number than ever before, while at the Hartford Association, onehalf of all alumni living in Connecticut were present.
The enthusiasm of the alumni for the College and its interests was evident in undiminished force and with it all there was apparent a more complete understanding of what the College is trying to do in all its fields of activity, as well as the part which the alumni must inevitably play in the realization of these ideals.
